![]() Anthony J. Palmaccio, M.D., Is an orthopedic surgeon that is board-certified with the American Board of Neurological and Orthopedic Medicine & Surgery. He is on staff at Frankford Hospital, Nazareth Hospital, Medical College of Pennsylvania, and Delaware Valley Orthopedic and Spine Surgicenter. Dr. Palmaccio graduated from LaSalle College and received his medical degree and completed his internship and orthopedic residency all at the Medical College of Pennsylvania. Dr. Palmaccio, a native Philadelphian, has been practicing medicine for over twenty five years as a general orthopedic surgeon with extensive experience in joint replacements and arthroscopic surgery. He is an acknowledged expert on treatment for serious back and spine problems using advanced technologies, such as minimally-invasive microsurgery. He is also the Medical Director of Delaware Valley Orthopedic and Spine Surgicenter which is a state of the art Surgicenter that is licensed by the State of Pennsylvania and is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. In his capacity as the Medical Director he oversees the entire clinical operation and sets medical policy for the facility. Dr Palmaccio is an active member of the American Board of Neurologic & Orthopedic Surgery, American College of Occupational Medicine, Pennsylvania Orthopedic Society, Pennsylvania Medical Society, American College of Sports Medicine, and American Running & Fitness Association. He also authored a nationally syndicated newspaper column on Sports Medicine.
